Welcome to the Clinical EEG
& Neuroimaging Research Lab
Who are we?We are the Clinical EEG & Neuroimaging Research Lab at the Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR), affiliated with the University of Ottawa (ON, Canada)
What do we study? We use clinical electroencephalography (EEG) as well as neuroimaging techniques (e.g. functional magnetic resonance imaging), coupled with various clinical and cognitive assessment tools, to better understand mental illness.
We also assess the effects of various interventions (e.g. stimulation therapies, drugs) on neural, clinical and cognitive features. Importantly, we attempt to characterize neural profiles that may be predictive of treatment response. Much of our laboratory’s work has focused on depression, though we also examine brain features in individuals with schizophrenia, ADHD, dysfunctional anger, as well as non-psychiatric populations. PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: Dr. Jaworska is not permitted to supervise any Clinical Psychology students. Fall 2023: Dr. Jaworska will NOT be taking on any graduate-level students. All undergraduate student positions have been filled. |
